A 2 Month Old and A 17 Month Old

If you read this post title, you will know why I am slacking on blog posts....

But in order for me to not feel guilty for blogging most of Jack's first year and finding it hard to do the same for Maggie, I am here to give you her 2 month report.

We went for her terrible shots and check up the other day.  She weighed in at 11 lbs 13 1/2 oz.  She's 23 in long.  And I believe her head was 15 in.  This puts her in the 75% for weight and head.  And somewhere between the 75-90% for height.  She is beautifully growing at a rapid pace.

Her cheeks are still as kissable as ever and she is as strong as an ox.  (Please forgive me for using that example, Maggie)

We love her every second of every day.  She's started tossing us some very sweet smiles here and there.  And she is still tolerating her brother's tough love very well.

And here is the 2nd leading man in Maggie's life...

He is at a very fun and challenging age right now.  And his vocabulary is growing like crazy.  I finally started counting words he had an association with, not just repeating words we said, and I believe he's up to around 40.  He did put his first word combo together yesterday, all by himself.  He looked at me with a snotty nose and big eyes and said "Mana-Peez" (translation = Banana Please).  He also saw a picture of him playing in a pile of Q-tips and he pointed to his ear.  He then ran into our bathroom where I thought I had hidden the Q-tips and brought me one.  He is getting too smart for our own good.

Baby Bean is a Beanette!

Dear Beloved Friends and Family,

We are so happy to share with you that our little Baby Bean is going to be a GIRL!  We learned this yesterday morning when we had our 16 week ultrasound.  We are so overjoyed with the blessing of already nurturing a precious little girl.  Jack is going to have to switch from saying "Bubba" all the time to saying "Sissy".   :)  We are praying for her development and growth over these next few months and for the rest of her life.

Some of you may remember that we were surprised with knowing if Jack was a boy or a girl, why we did it differently this time, you ask?  I was very eager to be surprised last go around.  We both loved the anticipation and excitement when he was born.  But this time Andrew got to decide whether we found out or not, and he chose to know!  Just as we were both excited to wait with Jack, we are both excited about knowing we have a beautiful little lady developing in our care.

We covet prayers for this pregnancy and for our babies.

Thank you all for loving our family!

Sunny Summer Days at the Beach {Jack's Take Tuesday}

Hi Friends,

I have just returned from
an adventure to the beach.  I went down to Florida with my Mommy and my Daddy.  Also, my Nana, Gramps, Aunt Pudzio, Uncle Andy, Aunt Meg, and Bonnie all went with us.  We stayed in this really nice house with lots and lots of stairs that I wasn't allowed to go near.  We spent a lot of time at the beach and the pool, but the rest of the time Bon Bon and I played and played all over that living room floor.

I decided to share a few pictures with you...by a few, I mean a whole heaping lot!

Uncle Andy bought Bonnie and me matching life jackets...Mine never lasted very long.

Bonnie is so big she can climb on things!

Gramps played in the tent with us fair-skinned children.  Although,  I will have you know that I, Jack Thomas Ingle, managed to get a tan with 100+ SPF sunscreen on.

We happened to be at the beach at my normal nap time.

Apparently it was Daddy's nap time too.  Daddy had surgery, so he couldn't go play in the waves.  I didn't mind that he spent a lot of time with me!  :)

Why do all of you grown-ups like wearing those silly sun glasses?

Nana got us coordinating outfits.

I love my family.

Gramps built the sand castle this year.  He told Bon Bon and myself that we had to help next year.

Our favorite past time.

Bonnie and Gramps were sitting on the buckets.

We got cool glasses that paid tribute to Gramps' favorite bird...the Flamingo.

Isn't she a ham.

Bon went exploring and got stuck.

What a good get away!

Being 6 Months Old and Easter {Jack's Take Tuesday}

Hello all,

Let me start out by telling you how not to celebrate your 6 month birthday...all you babies out there, start taking notes.
I woke up on April 21, 2011 with a fever.  After we ran some errands and my medicine wore off, My Mommy noticed that it had gone up so she took me into the doctor that afternoon and he said I had some sort of virus.  Great, that's exactly how I wanted to celebrate.

So the next couple of days we took it easy and I started feeling better.  Well, then on Easter I got even sicker and we found out I had been also working on an ear infection.  So much for Mommy not wanting to give me medicine.  I'll be honest, I don't mind it too much, it all tastes pretty good, but I have to pretend I don't like it or she will stop giving it to me.  hehe

Aside from being sick, I love being a 6 month old.  I am still as skinny as a rail, but I get to eat lots of things!  I love sweet potatoes, butternut squash, sweet peas, bananas, apples, pears, and mango.  You can see that I don't mind things with a sweet flavor. :)  I am rolling from my belly to my back and my back to my belly.  I can get around wherever I want to go on my back.  My Daddy keeps trying to get me to do this "crawl" thing, but I think I'm doing just fine on my back, maybe I'll try the belly thing at some point.

I practice sitting up.

I jabber and I have even been know to say Mama every now and again.  My favorite phrase is Vaaa Vaaa.

I get to help Daddy grill.

Accidental, but all too real.

This is my backyard.  I love being outside.

For Easter My Honey and Pop decided to make a trip up here so I got to spend it with them, Nana and Gramps, Daddy came home from the rig, Aunt Pudzio, Uncle Adam, and my Great Grandad Jack and Grandmother.  We had a packed house!  Keep in mind this is where my ear infection starts to show up and I have a pretty hefty runny nose and goopy eyes.

 Maddie loves Uncle Adam.

I LOVE to swing...can't you tell.

Gramps and Pop enjoyed Mommy and Daddy's new rocking Chairs.

I love my family and I am very grateful they came to join us!  I missed having the rest of my Aunts and Uncles, Great Grandparents and cousins.

What would an Easter be without a Bunny Cake from Great Grandmother?!

P.S. I survived my first big tornado encounter last night...it was crazy!
